Plant Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Class
Job Description
The 2nd Class Plant Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance work requiring an intermediate degree of skill. Work involves inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of all types of plant equipment and machinery; employees will be designated based on area of specialization, such as welding, diesel, pumps, or pipefitting, but are not specifically limited to any one of those areas.
Because the Authority has a responsibility to serve the public 24 hours a day, an employee in this class is expected to work overtime as conditions demand and may be called in on short notice during power outages and other emergencies.
